Zombie Popcorn – Halloween Party Treat

Every Halloween party needs a little Zombie Monster popcorn! This fun popcorn is easy to make and adds a festive touch to a Halloween bash. With fun colors and eyeball accents, it’s a scary and delicious treat.

Popcorn is a favorite snack. This one is easy to make. Kids will love helping to add the sprinkles. If you’re not into zombies you can call it witches brew popcorn instead.

Zombie Popcorn Ingredients

You can also make your own popcorn if you want but the microwave kind is quick and easy.

The black, green, purple combo of candy melts is great but feel free to switch up the colors to your liking. You can replace purple with red if you want it to look a bit scarier.

I pick up my candy melts at Michaels but you can grab them on Amazon using the above links as well.

How to make Zombie Popcorn

1 – Pop one bag of popcorn

2 – Melt your candy melts. (I used about half of a bag of each color and had plenty leftover.)

If the candy melts are too thick to drizzle you can add a small amount of vegetable oil to help thin it out.

A whisk is great for drizzling the melted candy.

I did all 3 colors on each layer but you can also do black and one other color on each layer if you prefer.

3 – Sprinkle liberally with Halloween sprinkles. I picked up mine at Target.

4 – Repeat steps 2 & 3 for the second layer

5 – Allow the popcorn to cool and the candy to harden before serving. You can also pop it into the freezer for a few minutes to help it set.

Zombie Popcorn Recipe

This Zombie popcorn adds a fun touch to any Halloween party. Serve it in a festive container for an added touch.

Cook Time 10 minutes
Additional Time 10 minutes
Total Time 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Bag of microwave popcorn
  • 1 Bag black candy melts
  • 1 Bag purple candy melts
  • 1 Bag green candy melts
  • Halloween sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Pop 1 bag of microwave popcorn or make your own
  2. Melt candy melts in black, green, and purple
  3. Pour half the popcorn into a dish.
  4. Drizzle each color of candy melts over the popcorn.
  5. Sprinkle with a generous amount of Halloween sprinkles
  6. Repeat for the second layer
  7. Allow to cool and harden before serving.

Notes

If candy melts are too thick to drizzle add a small amount of vegetable oil to thin it out.
