I’m a big fan of pork chops! That’s why I’m so excited to share this recipe for air fryer pork chops. They come out crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The Ritz cracker breading adds an extra layer of fun.
They’re also quick and easy to make. Fridge to plate in 30 minutes or less. Perfect for an easy weeknight dinner pork chop recipe.

There’s something I just love about pork chops. Usually, I make these tender pork chops in gravy but lately, I’ve been trying out other ways of cooking pork chops. So, I asked my husband if he thought I could cook pork chops in our air fryer.
He suggested I’d need a way to add fat since there would be no oil. That was perfect as I was thinking of breading them with ritz crackers. (I saw someone bread chicken this way when I was scrolling Pinterest one day.)
I cooked them up and they came out crispy on the outside, but tender and juicy on the inside. Plus the meal came together fast! These puppies were done in just under 20 minutes. (I used medium thickness boneless center cut chops.) On a hot day it’s also nice to be able to cook them without turning on an oven or standing over a hot frying pan.
I love that they’re healthier than a traditional fried pork chop too which allowed me to splurge on the sides. You can replace the biscuits with fruit if you want to make it healthier and avoid turning on the oven to make the biscuits.
We ate ours with a chopped salad, I love the Taylor Farms kits and cheddar biscuits. Have you ever had the cheddar bay biscuits at Red Lobster? They actually sell a boxed version you can make at home. I make them in my cast iron biscuit pan, one my kitchen essentials.

Meal prep tip: If you’re making biscuits get the oven preheated and the biscuits ready to go in before you start breading those pork chops. The chops cook so fast that if you don’t throw your biscuits in when you start the breading process the pork chops will be done way before your sides are!
I cooked my air fryer pork chops in my Cuisinart Toaster Oven/Air Fryer. I love that I can do multiple things with one appliance since I am quickly running out of counter space. I now make garlic bread in my air fryer too instead of in the oven.
Ingredients for Ritz Cracker breaded pork chops
Luckily, this recipe takes just a few ingredients
- Boneless Pork Chops, I used center cut medium thickness
- Flour
- 1-2 eggs
- Ritz crackers
- salt & pepper
How to make pork chops in your air fryer
Breading
You’ll need 3 containers for the breading process.
In the first place 3 heaping tablespoons of flour. Add about 1/2 teaspoon each of salt and pepper. Feel free to add any other spices here as well.
If you want a little spice to yours you could add some cajun seasoning.

In the second container crack and scramble an egg.

The last dish is for your breading. For these, I crushed up two short tubes of Ritz crackers.

Bread each pork chop by first coating all sides in flour, then the egg wash, then the crackers. Once breaded place it in your air fryer basket.
Optional: To give them a little extra moisture you can lightly spritz each side with some canola oil. I’ve cooked them with and without the extra oil and they seemed to cook just fine without as the crackers have some fat and oil in them already.
Cooking the pork chops
Once they’re all loaded up place the basket in your air fryer, for mine it was in the 2nd slot, this may vary based on the type of air fryer you have.
Turn the setting to air fry and set the temp between 380-400 degrees. They will fry for about 15-20 minutes. If you have especially thick chops you may have to cook them longer. Cook them until a meat thermometer reads 170 degrees.
You will need to flip them halfway through!
Once the thermometer shows they are cooked through they’re ready to eat! They’ll come out tender and tasty.
