Easy Pork Tenderloin Air Fryer Recipe {Melts in your mouth}

Delicious Air Fried Pork Tenderloin

I’m a big fan of pork tenderloin so I of course had to try it in my air fryer. I love how tender and juicy meat comes out when you cook it in an air fryer.

And it didn’t let me down with the boneless pork tenderloin. It’s super tender with a hint of delicious seasonings that don’t overpower the flavor of the meat.

Easy Boneless Pork Tenderloin Recipe

This pork tenderloin recipe is easy to throw together, you can even mix the seasonings in advance to save time.

It has a thin and delicious crust with tender & juicy pork on the inside.

I often make ours with green beans and potatoes that I cook in the oven while the meat cooks in the air fryer. (You can find the recipes for these sides down below.)

This one is a hit. My husband asks for a repeat performance and my 2 young girls will eat it too. It’s tender enough that our two year old has no problem eating the meat.

With sides this easily feeds my husband and two small girls with enough leftovers for at least one adult to eat it again.

Pork Tenderloin seasoning ingredients

  • 1.25lb boneless pork tenderloin
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon himalayan sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

You can use regular salt but I find the himalayan sea salt gives it a little something extra.

This recipe works great for a 1lb pork tenderloin or slightly larger. If you’re going to use a 2lb pork tenderloin or cook 2 pieces at a time you’ll want to double the seasonings.

For 2 tenderloins that are about 1-1.25lbs each the cooking time will stay the same. If you’re cooking a larger/thicker piece of meat you’ll likely need to increase the cooking time.

Side ingredients

If you want to make it with the sides I used you’ll also need:

How to make a pork tenderloin in an air fryer

1 – Add all the seasonings to a bowl and mix well.

2 – Unwrap the pork tenderloin and dry off any excess water with a paper towel.

3 – Coat the boneless tenderloin with olive oil and then coat all sides with seasonings.

4 – Set your air fryer to 400 for 25-30 minutes turning 1-2 times to avoid burning.

If you’re air fryer has multiple functions like my Cuisinart you can set it to convection bake at 400 for the first 5-10 minutes then switch it to air fry and this will reduce that chance of any burning.

5 – Keep an eye on it as it cooks, especially until you get the feel for how this recipe cooks in your specific air fryer.

Once it reaches an internal temperature of 170 degrees (use a meat thermometer to check) turn off your machine and move the meat to a cutting board.

6 – Let the meat rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing into medallions.

What kind of pork tenderloin should I use?

You’ll want to use a boneless pork tenderloin. As I mentioned above I usually use one that is about 1-1.25 lbs. I’ve also cooked them 2 at a time.

I generally use the Hormel brand but Smithfield is also a popular brand.

You can use the same basic instructions to cook a pre-seasoned tenderloin. I sometimes do this if I want something really easy and quick for a weeknight meal.

What to serve with pork tenderloin?

I like to serve this pork tenderloin recipe with oven roasted potatoes and green beans.

Potatoes

Mashed potatoes are also a good option to make with this meal but as the seasonings on the meat here are mild I like to go with these flavorful rosemary potatoes.

1 – Cut 2-3 medium to large potatoes into 1 inch cubes.

2 – Place the cubes in a bowl and cover them with 1-2 tablespoons olive oil, half packet of french onion soup mix and 1 teaspoon of rosemary.

3 – Mix to coat all potatoes.

4 – Pour out onto a baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 40-60 minutes (depending on the thickness of the potatoes).

5 – They are done when you can easily stick a fork into the potatoes.

Green Beans

For the vegetable I like to serve roasted garlic green beans.

1 – Lay out 8-10oz of green beans on a baking sheet.

2 – Coat them with olive oil and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and mix to coat everything well.

3 – Add to oven and bake for 20-30 minutes depending on how soft or crispy you want your green beans.

If you want to make this exact meal you’ll need to start the potatoes cooking first. Then you’ll prep and start the meat in the air fryer. Last you’ll prep and add the green beans to the oven.
