Air Fryer Cheesecake
Have you jumped on the air fryer bandwagon yet? I was hesitant at first but it’s one of the best purchases my husband has ever talked me into!
We have the Cuisinart Convection Toaster Air Fryer so it’s a toaster and air fryer in one, a must-have to save on counter space. My favorite things to make are pork chops, chicken parmesan, and now I can make dessert too!
Heads up, it’s best if your cheesecake sets in the fridge overnight so you’ll want to make it a day ahead of when you plan to serve it.
Ingredients
Crust Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 sticks of butter – melted
Filling Ingredients
- 4 – 8 ounce packages of cream cheese – softened
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 package of Jello instant cheesecake pudding – 3 ounce package
- 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
Topping
- 1 jar of caramel topping
- 3 squares of Chocolate Almond Bark – melting chocolate
- 1/3 cup of heavy cream
You will also need a 7″ Springform pan to make this recipe. If your pan is slightly smaller you can use less of the filling. If it’s larger you can still make it but your cheesecake will be thinner and may cook a bit faster.
How to make Air Fryer Cheesecake
While this recipe isn’t complicated it does take a while so make sure you plan accordingly.
Make your crust
1 – The first thing you’ll want to do is make your crust. Start by adding your flour and powdered sugar to a medium-sized bowl and combine.
2 – Melt the butter in the microwave and then pour it into the bowl. Use a fork or a pastry blender to cut the butter into the batter. (It doesn’t have to be smooth, just combined).
3 – Line your springform pan with parchment paper and press the dough firmly and evenly into the bottom of the pan.
4 – Place the pan in your air fryer and cook for 6 minutes.
Cheesecake Filling
1 – While the crust cooks you can mix up your filling. Start by adding all of your cream cheese to a large bowl or stand mixer and cream it until smooth.
2 – Add in the lemon juice and the eggs and mix just until combined.
3 – In a separate bowl add the heavy cream to the pudding mix and mix until smooth.
4 – Add the pudding mixture and the powdered sugar to the large bowl and mix on low until the filling is smooth.
5 – Remove your pan from the air fryer and pour the cheesecake filling over the crust
6 – Return the pan to the air fryer and set the timer for 55 minutes. But wait, don’t go away yet! After about 10 minutes check to see if the top has browned a bit. If so, go ahead and cover it loosely with foil for the rest of the cooking time. If not, check again in 5 minutes.
7 – When that timer dings DON’T OPEN THE DOOR! Let it sit in the warm, but off, air fryer for an additional 30 minutes.
8 – Then remove the pan to a wire rack to cool leaving it in the springform pan.
9 – Once it has cooled completely stick the pan in the refrigerator, covered with foil, to set. Ideally, it will be allowed to set overnight.
Topping
Now you’re ready to turn that cheesecake into a chocolate caramel Twix cheesecake!
1 – Remove the pan from the refrigerator and spoon the caramel over top. (It should still be in that springform pan at this point.)
2 – Return it to the fridge while your prepare the chocolate.
3 – Heat heavy cream in the microwave, you want to warm it but not boil it or it may curdle. (You can do steps 3-5 on the stovetop as well.)
4 – Place the chocolate squares into the warm cream and stir to begin melting the chocolate.
5 – If the chocolate doesn’t melt completely microwave it for an additional 15 seconds and stir again until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
6 – Take your cheesecake back out of the fridge and place it on a serving plate. Ideally, your pan will have sides so the chocolate can’t run off the plate.
7 – Now, it’s finally time to remove the springform pan! Remove the pan and immediately pour the hot chocolate topping over the cheesecake allowing some to run down the sides onto the plate.
8 – Return it to the fridge for at least 10-15 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
9 – Serve and enjoy! It pairs great with a warm cup of coffee.
Now you have a delicious cheesecake that looks super fancy but isn’t really that hard to make. Enjoy!
